BJP's ad spend on Google Ads India 2024, by state
According to Google's report on ad transparency, the Bharatiya Janata Party, one of India's biggest recognized national parties, spent just under 79 million Indian rupees on Google ads shown in the state of Karnataka, the highest among all Indian states and union territories as of February 2024. Over the past five years, the ruling party's ad expenditure on Google alone amounted to over half a billion rupees, making it arguably the biggest spender on political advertising.
