Percentage change in bed nights in leading European city tourism destinations 2022
The number of bed nights in leading European tourism cities increased significantly in 2022 compared to 2021. That said, in most cases, they remained lower than in 2019, the year prior to the impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. For instance, London - the European city tourism destination with the highest number of bed nights - reported a 131.5 percent increase in bed nights in 2022 compared to 2021. However, the 2022 figure was 30.5 percent lower than the one from 2019.
