Under Armour is an American sporting goods manufacturer, based in Baltimore, Maryland. In the fiscal year ended March 31, 2024, Under Armour employed about 15,000 people around the world. Under Armour is one of the world's largest sportswear and sporting goods manufacturers. 

How does Under Armour compare to other companies within the sportswear and sporting goods industry?

The global sportswear industry is a lucrative one and is projected to continue expanding with each consecutive year. Nike and adidas are two of the world's leading athletic apparel companies and their brand values are on another level in comparison to that of Under Armour. While Under Armour is a very successful company and was one of the top 100 apparel companies worldwide in 2024, it remains leagues away from these market leaders when it comes to the size of its workforce. The German activewear company known as Puma was much more comparable to Under Armour in terms of scale.
