The median annual compensation for female publishing employees working in management positions in the United States in 2018 was 126 thousand U.S. dollars. By comparison, male members of management earned just under 140 thousand. Disparities still exist when it comes to an employee's gender and their pay, despite publishing jobs mostly being held by women.
