Nordics: perceived racial discrimination by gender 2016

This statistic displays the perceived discrimination perceived due to skin color of people of African descent while looking for work, at work, education, and housing within the last five years before the survey period in selected Nordic countries from 2015 to 2016, by gender. According to the results of the survey, 31 percent of women of African descent in Denmark experienced discrimination because of their skin color. The corresponding figure for women of African descent in Sweden was 28 percent.

* The survey was conducted in Finland from November 2, 2015 to August 9, 2016; in Denmark from October 24, 2015 to March 14, 2016; and in Sweden November 2, 2015 to March 30, 2016.

**The sample size in Finland was 502 respondents, in Denmark 1,085 respondents, and in Sweden 1,098 respondents.
