Share of iPhone XS Max buyers upgrading from various iPhones in the U.S. 2019

Around 29 percent of iPhone XS Max buyers who upgraded from another Apple product previously used an iPhone 7 Plus, while another 12 percent used to be iPhone 8 Plus users. One of the newest products in Apple's iPhone line, the XS Max is the high-end product released in September of 2018 alongside the XS and XR. Many of the common previous iPhone products for XS Max buyers are also high-end iPhone versions, indicating a high churn rate between Apple's high-end products.
