Ethnicity distribution of New York Times employees U.S. 2015-2020
Data on employee diversity at The New York Times showed that 63 percent of the company's workforce in 2020 was white. Whilst five years previously that figure was ten percent higher, people of color still have very limited representation within the company, particularly within leadership. In 2020, just 23 percent of leadership roles were occupied by people of color, up by six percent from 2015.
