Main difficulties faced by artisans during COVID-19 lockdown in Morocco 2020
In a survey conducted among 1,001 artisans in Morocco, it was revealed that 81 percent of the artisans had to stop sales during the coronavirus (COVID-19) lockdown in 2020. Moreover, while 71 percent of them had to cease production, 57 percent were unable to cater for their expenses. Overall in Morocco, close to 1.4 million people were employed in the crafts industry as of 2018.
