European quarterly consumer spend on health and fitness apps 2019-2021, by app store
Between the beginning of 2019 and the end of 2021, consumer spending on health and fitness apps in Europe was consistently higher via the Apple App Store than via the Google Play Store. During the fourth quarter of 2021, iOS users spent approximately 57 million U.S. dollars on health and fitness apps, while Google Play Store users spent around 25 million U.S. dollars on apps from the same category. Spending on health and fitness apps in Europe peaked during the first half of 2021, surpassing 100 million U.S. dollars during the second quarter of the year.
