Share of total macro-regional GHG emissions APAC 2021, by subregion
In 2021, East and Northeast Asia were responsible for 61.7 percent of Asia-Pacific's total greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. In comparison, the Pacific region, including Australia and New Zealand, only accounted for about two percent of GHG emissions in APAC. That year, East and Northeast Asia's contribution to the worldwide total GHG emissions amounted to approximately 32 percent.
