In 2021, about 49.4 percent of U.S. children were White, non-Hispanic; 25.7 percent were Hispanic; 13.8 percent were Black, non-Hispanic; and 5.4 percent were Asian, non-Hispanic. The share of Hispanic children in the United States has been steadily increasing since 2000.
