Product manufacturing was responsible for approximately 65 percent of Apple's gross carbon emissions in fiscal year 2022. Most of the electronics company's emissions fall under Scope 3 - indirect emissions occurring across the value chain, such as product use and product transport. Apple's net carbon emissions were 20.3 MtCO₂e in fiscal year 2022.
