Gender gap index in Guatemala 2014-2023
For the third consecutive year Guatemala scored 0.66 in the gender gap index in 2023. This is the worst gender equality score since 2014 and represents a gap of approximately 34 percent (women are 34 percent less likely than men to have equal opportunities). Political empowerment is the gender gap area where Guatemala scores the worst.
