Brazil: perceptions on how many women suffered physical/sexual violence 2018

The statistic presents the results of a survey conducted in January and February 2018 to find out about the situation of women and gender (in)equality across 27 countries. In Brazil, female respondents guessed that approximately 59 percent of women had been victims of physical and/or sexual violence by a current or former partner or spouse at some point in their life. The source estimated that around 31 percent of women in Brazil had actually suffered violence from their partner or spouse.
