Distribution of telecom digital advertising expenditure in India 2022, by format
In 2022, the Indian telecom sector spent around 28 percent of its digital advertising budget on online video advertising, followed closely by social media ads. Online video advertising was identified as the upcoming advertising format across verticals often surpassing social media's share of digital ad spends. Compared to 2020, the telecom vertical increased its budget allocation for classifieds and other formats to one percent.
