Swedish men are generally more critical towards refugees than Swedish women. While 49 percent of the male respondents wanted fewer refugees in 2009, the share had increased to 64 percent in 2019. That same year, 52 percent of the female respondents wanted to receive less refugees in their country. In contrast, least people had the wish to receive less refugees in Sweden in 2015.
