Agri-food self-sufficiency in Uzbekistan 2021, by product
Among basic agricultural food product categories, Uzbekistan had the highest self-sufficiency rate for vegetables, melons, and gourds, at 129 percent in 2021. In other words, their national production exceeded the domestic demand for that product category. The self-sufficiency level for sugar was recorded at zero, meaning that the country fully depended on imports for that product category.
