The price of emeralds in the United States as of December 2021 had a lower price range of 1,420 U.S. dollars per carat and a maximum price range of 4,500 U.S. dollars per carat. In comparison, rubies had a lower price range of 1,980 U.S. dollars per carat and an upper price of 3,600 U.S. dollars per carat in the U.S. at that time.
