What are the most popular e-reading devices in the United States?

Answered by Niall McCarthy, 19.10.2012

Statistics show that Amazon’s Kindle is by far the most popular e-reading device in the United States, forming 62% of the e-reader market. The Barnes & Noble Nook is the second most popular e-reader, accounting for 22% of all devices. These two e-readers are far ahead of the competition with the Sony Reader, Pandigital and Kobo Reader all accounting for just 2% or less of the American market.
