Statistics on worldwide TV viewership of selected sporting events paint an interesting, though possibly predictable picture. From 2009 to 2010, the most viewed event was the US Super Bowl XLIV – 121 million tuned in. UEFA Champions League Final in football wasn’t far behind with 109 million viewers. The Bahrain Grand Prix (Formula 1) was the third most viewed event, drawing 54 million people to their TV screens.
