Halloween costumes in the U.S.

What are the main sources of inspiration for Halloween costumes in the U.S.?

Answered by Evgeniya Koptyug, 22.10.2012

As of 2012, for the majority it’s a retail store or costume shop. Statistics on sources of inspiration for Halloween costumes in the United States also show that over 33% conduct an online search for ideas, while almost 29% will not wear costumes at all. Over 23% talk to friends or family about costume choices. Surprisingly, so far social media isn’t the most popular source. Just around 15% turn to Facebook, while only a little over 4% each surf to blogs and Twitter.
