The statistic shows the new car registration market share of automobile manufacturer Mercedes in the EU between May 2012 to May 2013. Mercedes-Benz is the registered trademark of vehicles produced by the Daimler AG. The name came into being in 1926 after the creation of Daimler-Benz AG which followed the merger of Daimler-Motoren-Gesellschaft (Mercedes) and Benz & Cie. In January 2013, Mercedes had a market share of new car registrations in the EU of around five percent.
