Ultrabooks are forecast to account for 42.7 percent of global notebook PC shipments in 2015, up from just 1.8 percent in 2011. In 2012, Apple's MacBook Air shipments are expected to total 8.4 million devices. With estimated combined sales of 4.2 million ultrabooks in 2012, Hewlett-Packard and Lenovo aren't likely to come close to Apple.
