This statistic shows the mobile payment methods used in selected countries from March to July 2011. During that period of time, 51 percent of German respondents utilised PayPal for mobile payments, compared to 38 percent of private U.S. smartphone users reported doing so. Direct debit usage in the United States was also considerably lower than in European countries.
