In the United States, Super Tuesday refers to the Tuesday in February or March of a presidential election year when the greatest number of states hold primary elections. On March 9, 2012, Mitt Romney has won at least six states, with another possible win in Wyoming pending, though only 30 percent of the votes have been reported so far. Rick Santorum won in three states, Newt Gingrich could win only his native state, Georgia.
