These figures were collected by the Mexican government. Ever since Mexican President Felipe Calderon launched his crackdown on the drug cartels in December 2006, many thousands of people have been killed.
In total, 37,790 fatalities could be related to the ongoing drug war in Mexico from 2009 to 2011.
