Average annual boating days by boat type in the U.S. 2013

* The average number of boating days per participant is calculated by summing up the reported days spent boating for all boat types. While this average is representative of the extent of their boating participation, it may not equate to the number of days they spent on the water since participants may use two different boat types on the same day (e.g. a powerboat and a personal watercraft).
** Respondents were selected from the survey base of a sports participation survey by the Physical Activitiy Council (PAC) (January / February 2013 - 42,363 online interviews).
