U.S. citizens' opinion on whether the Iraq War was a mistake 2003-2019
The United States-led invasion of Iraq began on March 19. 2003, and the conflict lasted until December 15. 2011. In the first week of the conflict, approximately three quarters of respondents believed that the U.S. was correct in its decision to invade. However, just over one year later, in June 2004, more were against the war than for it, and this was true of every survey conducted from August 2005 onward.
