Non-renewable energy reserves share by region

Australasia has the greatest share of non-renewable energy reserves in the world. As of 2022, more than one fourth of all proved non-renewable reserves were found in this region. By comparison, Europe only held 3.7 percent of such reserves despite being a large consumer market.

Resources: Quantities of energy sources which are either proved but currently not commercially recoverable or expected (on the basis of geological indicators) and can be verified by exploration.
