Total proved reserves of oil: generally taken to be those quantities that geological and engineering information indicates with reasonable certainty can be recovered in the future from known reservoirs under existing economic and operating conditions.
Reserves include gas condensate and natural gas liquids (NGLs) as well as crude oil.
The figures through 2009 are taken from the Exxon report “Oeldorado 2009”.
Figures from 2010 to 2019 are taken from previous editions of BP's statistical reviews.
For clarity purposes, the figures have been rounded.
