This statistic presents the prevalence of cyber bullying perpetration and victimization among teens by gender. During the 2012 survey, it was found that 9 percent of all female teen respondents admitted to perpetrating cyber bullying, in contrast to 5.9 percent of male teens. Cyber bullying includes activities such as calling another student names through text message or email, creating a social networking page about another student knowing that it would upset him or her, and sending nasty emails to another student.
