This statistic shows the results of an online survey conducted from July 16 to 11, 2016. A random sample of U.S. adults including parents of grade school children and college students were asked which electronic items they expect to purchase while back-to-school shopping in 2016. In that year, some 28 percent of parents expected to purchase a laptop for back-to-school.
