Northern Europe was the main destination for cruise travelers sourced from the United Kingdom and Ireland in 2022, with around 483 thousand passengers. This figure denoted a sharp increase from the previous year and surpassed the passenger volume reported in 2019, prior to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Meanwhile, the Central and Western Mediterranean followed in the ranking that year, welcoming roughly 457 thousand passengers.
