In 2021, the pharmaceutical industry in Brazil reached a revenue of approximately 146.7 billion Brazilian reals, up from around 129.2 billion reals reported in the previous year. The industry's revenue in the country increased continuously during the period analyzed. That same year, Brazil accounted for roughly 2.2 percent of the pharmaceutical market worldwide.
