Forecasted unemployment rate in Italy 2021-2022

Forecasts published in October 2021 expect that the unemployment rate in Italy will stand at 9.9 percent this year, an increase compared to 2020. In 2022, the unemployment rate could decrease by 0.3 percentage points and reach 9.6 percent. Although the labor market crisis seriously affected the entire Italian working population, it particularly impacted the youngest part of the labor force.
