Weekly growth trend in online retail revenue in Italy from January to April 2020
coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, the online retail revenue of brands that mainly trade in physical stores registered a constant growth during the period from February to April 2020, compared to the same period of the previous year. In fact, after registering a negative growth in the month of January, the online revenue of the retail sector increased on average of 40 percent throughout February to April 2020, compared to same period of the previous year. The highest revenue increase was recorded in the first week of April, during which the online retail revenue of these brands recorded a growth of 92 percent.
