In February 2022, there were nearly 3,200 residences affected by natural or anthropic disasters in Peru, with 179 destroyed. This represents a slight decrease in comparison to the same month of the previous year, when around 3.5 thousand residences were affected.
The highest number of affected and destroyed housing properties in Peru are normally registered in the first three months of the year, and are associated with heavy summer rainfall, and resulting flooding and landslides.
