Cloud-based streaming impact on the video game industry 2019
Revenue in the video gaming industry reaches into the billions of U.S. dollars worldwide every year and is forecast to grow even further in the coming years. Part of this growth will be dependent on the success of new trends such as cloud-based streaming and eSports. During a May 2019 survey, gaming executives were asked about the potential impact of cloud-based streaming on the video game industry - 20 percent of respondents stated that the ability to access games on many devices as a result of cloud-based gaming would have a very high impact on the industry.
