TV vs internet usage frequency in Russia 2022, by age group

The largest share of Russians aged between 18 and 24 years preferred the internet over television as their main media source, according to a survey conducted in September 2022. Among the population aged 60 years and older, over 40 percent were active TV users. In other words, they consumed that medium at least several times a week and went online only several times a month. However, a larger share of respondents in that age group reported high frequency of both TV and internet consumption.
