Share of population having consumed wine in last 4 weeks in Africa 2021, by country
Based on a survey conducted between June 2020 and June 2021, Togo was the country with the largest wine consuming population, as the share of the adult population who had consumed wine in the four weeks prior to the survey reached 26 percent. Cameroon and Cote d'Ivoire followed with 25 and 23 percent, respectively. On the other hand, only three percent of the population in Egypt and Mali had reported drinking wine within the previous four weeks.
