Unmet healthcare needs due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Europe in 2021, by country
Between April 2020 and March 2021, 35.2 percent of respondents in Hungary mentioned that their healthcare needs were unmet due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the highest share across all European Union countries. Furthermore, in Portugal around 34 percent of people reported not receiving a medical examination or treatment due to the pandemic, while on the other hand ten percent of respondents in Denmark reported an unmet healthcare need during the pandemic.
