Awareness among Japanese children of marine problems 2022
According to a survey conducted in June 2022 about the general awareness of marine issues in Japan, 57 percent of respondents between the age of 10 to 14 years old stated that they were well aware of the relation between marine pollution reduction and lifestyle changes, such as reduction of household waste or the habitual carrying of a reusable bag for groceries. 40 percent of children responded, that they were aware that climate change and changes in the sea are closely related.
