Distance that online shoppers would travel for a free return in the U.S. 2022
According to a 2022 survey, 96 percent of online shoppers in the United States were willing to travel at least 1.6 kilometers (1 mile) for a free return on their purchases. That being said, four in ten U.S. e-commerce consumers were willing to travel up to 8 kilometers (5 miles) for a free return, while over a third (35 percent) were willing to travel up to 16 kilometers (10 miles).
