Freedom of expression score in DR Congo 2000-2023
The Democratic Republic of Congo scored 27 points in the Global Expression Report (GxR) in 2023. This was a drop compared to the previous year when the country received a score of 30 points. Over the observed period, the country's score peaked in 2020 at 34, while it was lowest in 2000 and 2001. GxR ranks countries based on the openness of the society, with a higher score being given to countries with more freedom of expression.
