According to a survey conducted in July 2023, the leading action or thought associated with cultural festivals in Japan was to go to said events and to enjoy the activities or the food offered at booths, mentioned by 28 percent of respondents. Other than that, many stated to be overcome by a feeling that "it is that time of the year again".
