Number of video-on-demand purchases in North America 2013-2015
This statistic lays out the number of video-on-demand (VOD) purchases carried out by North American consumers, per month, in fourth quarter of 2013 and 2015. According to a survey, the percentage of consumers who made one rental increased from 12.5 percent in Q4 2013 to 13.2 percent by Q4 2015. The U.S. video, DVD, and game rental industry is expected to shrink by more than a half between 2012 and 2017, from nearly 5.9 billion to 2.8 billion in revenue.
