This statistic depicts the leading tax-paying companies in Brazil in 2017. That year, the fuel company Petrobras led the ranking with an annual tax expenditure of 28.78 billion U.S. dollars, followed by Petrobras' distribution subsidiary - Petrobras Distribuidora - which reported spending nearly 5.6 billion dollars in taxes. Petrobras also ranked first among the companies with the highest salary expenditures in Brazil in 2017.
