Key periods for e-commerce in France 2020, by share of sales
In 2020, summer and winter sales, typically part of the main periods for e-commerce in France, were replaced by the high demand generated during the two confinements held that year. As a result, that year, 42 percent of all online purchases in France were made during periods of lockdown and Christmas shopping.
