Latin America: feelings about climate change 2019, by gender
Women in Latin America were more likely to express feelings of concern, sadness, and fear in association with the concept of climate change, when compared to men, according to a survey conducted in November 2019. When asked about how they felt upon hearing the term, 38 percent of women surveyed across 18 countries in Latin America said that they felt sadness, against 32 percent of men. Meanwhile, feelings of pessimism and indifference were more common among men.
