In June and July 2020, 92 percent of surveyed hoteliers in India stated that they installed sanitizers as a safety measure to curb Covid-19. With these safety measures the hoteliers planned for reopening or an increase in guest numbers after the lockdown. Other measures included the reduction of physical contacts, staff wearing masks, and social distancing rules in common areas like restaurants or gyms. More than 70 percent of hoteliers initiated cashless payment options.
